This finding would allow for a more practical and accessible application of TMS for all individuals with depression.
You’ve heard us talk about the process and people behind the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment we offer at Sonder.
You’ve heard stories from real people TMS has helped.
Now? We aim to make this treatment easier than ever to access.
And we need your help.
Here’s everything you need to know about the new pilot study we’re running at Sonder:
What’s the pilot study about?
The goal of this pilot study is to determine the effectiveness, tolerability, and practicality of accelerated Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for adults with Major Depressive Disorder.
What exactly are you testing?
Inspired by the SAINT study conducted by the Stanford Brain Stimulation Lab, we aim to demonstrate that fcMRI technology is not needed for effective TMS treatment. This finding would allow for a more practical and accessible application of TMS for all individuals with depression.
TMS is currently approved for Major Depressive Disorder, in addition to several other mental health conditions. This trial will compare the effectiveness of a one-week course of TMS treatment to the standard nine-week treatment protocol.
Where will the pilot study take place?
We’ll be running this study at our Minnetonka location.
How long will you be enrolling participants?
Recruitment is rolling until 20 participants are enrolled.
Is there a fee to take part in this study?
There will be no cost to study participants.
Who’s eligible to participate?
We’re actively recruiting participants who meet the following minimum requirements:
- Age 22 to 70 years
- Diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder
- Prior antidepressant treatment, with inadequate results
Not sure if you fit these requirements? You’re welcome to contact us and a member of our team will discuss eligibility criteria with you.
