The staff and providers here at Sonder really love what they do, which makes such a difference in providing high-quality patient care.
And, in the process, we’ve welcomed some exceptional new providers to our team.
To celebrate, we’re introducing you to the humans behind the many services we offer.
This week, we’re talking with our TMS coordinator, Erin Fritz:
Thanks for taking the time to chat with us, Erin! What do you love most about your role at Sonder?
I love working with patients!
Being able to connect with people about the issues they’re facing and help them find relief is incredibly rewarding. I feel very fortunate to be able to do so!
What drew you to this work? What keeps you going?
After graduating with my BA, I knew I wanted to work in healthcare. I found the opportunity here at Sonder and it has been the most rewarding experience.
In the future, I want to continue working in healthcare as a Physician Assistant, so this position gives me great experience and insight.
TMS (i.e., Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is an unfamiliar modality to many people. What are some misconceptions about it you’ve encountered so far?
TMS can sound like a very scary procedure/treatment because it’s in the realm of neuromodulation, but it’s actually one of the safest, least invasive treatments for depression and anxiety. It’s been so beneficial for many people who have exhausted their other options.
As providers, it’s essential that we maintain our own emotional wellness practices. What does self-care look like for you these days?
I try to get outside as much as I can with my dog so we can both enjoy some fresh air. Nothing beats sunshine!
It’s also very important for me to connect with friends and family often so I have some social interaction! When I’m not working, I’m most likely hanging out with friends and family, snuggling or playing with my dog, or teaching dance!
You’re one of the first points of contact for many Sonder patients considering TMS. What can someone expect when they first seek care with us?
The staff and providers here at Sonder really love what they do, which makes such a difference in providing high-quality patient care. I am proud to work with such great people!
Thanks, Erin! We’re grateful to have you on the team.
