TMS Patient Experience: Amy

TMS Patient Experience: Amy

TMS is worth trying and making a commitment to!

Amy, TMS patient

We’re proud of the technology, team, and process we offer our patients seeking Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment.

(New to TMS? Learn more about it here.)

And as we witness each patient experience the benefits for themselves, we’re right there celebrating alongside them!

This week, we’re talking with Amy about her experience with TMS.

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us, Amy! Can you share a bit about what life felt like prior to beginning TMS treatment?

Before beginning TMS treatment, my primary challenges were anxiety, severe depression, and suicidal ideation.

What had you tried (before TMS) to address these challenges?

I’d tried medication management and hospitalization.

What led you to explore TMS as a treatment option?

My psychiatrist recommended I look into it.

At first, I was afraid it wouldn’t help at all. And the commitment was a lot.

But, I still felt a nugget hope, so I decided to give it a try anyway.

What was the experience like for you?

The treatment team members were pleasant and the environment made it easy.

What changes have you noticed?

Slowly, my suicidal ideation has lessened. And I still experience challenges but, unlike before TMS, my mood now allows for these challenges.

What’s one piece of advice or encouragement you’d like to share with someone considering TMS?

It’s worth trying and making a commitment to!

Thanks, Amy! We’re honored to have worked with you.
