I’m always excited to be a learner in this mysterious journey.
Ulas M. Camsari, MD
Sonder’s growing! And, in the process, we’ve welcomed some exceptional new medication providers to our team.
To celebrate, we’re kicking off a brand new blog series to introduce you to the humans behind the medication management services we offer.
This week, we’re talking with one of our medication providers, Ulas M. Camsari, MD:
Thanks for taking the time to chat with us! What do you prefer patients call you?
“Dr C”. (Unless, of course, someone’s up for a challenge to correctly pronounce my Turkish name.)
What do you love most about your role at Sonder?
Working with curious, honest and passionate people who are interested in making this world a better place.
What’s one misconception or misunderstanding you see about emotional wellness?
Psychiatric medications are helpful, but they can be overrated.
What drew you to this work? What keeps you going?
Reverse engineering of the human mind is the most challenging task of our civilization, and I believe the ultimate good will come from this effort. I’m always excited to be a learner in this mysterious journey.
When you’re not at Sonder, what are you most likely up to?
If I’m not working, I’m either dreaming or cooking.
What’s something patients might be surprised to learn about you?
I’m a cautious optimist who believes that good things will happen if we do our best.
Thanks, Dr. C! We’re grateful to have you on the team.
