Meet the Med Providers: Rachel Henry, RN

We work with people who are sometimes at their most vulnerable. To be able to be a part of that time in their life is pretty incredible and a privilege I don’t take for granted.

Sonder’s growing! And, in the process, we’ve welcomed some exceptional new medication providers to our team.

To celebrate, we’re kicking off a brand new blog series to introduce you to the humans behind the medication management services we offer.

This week, we’re talking with Rachel Henry, RN:

Thanks for taking the time to chat with us, Rachel! You’ve worked in residential treatment, home health care, and outpatient medical and mental health clinics…

Yes, I enjoy working with patients of all ages and stages of life!

What first brought you to this work? What keeps you going?

My first job out of nursing school was in mental health and it just clicked for me.

Working in mental health isn’t always easy but it really is rewarding.

We work with people who are sometimes at their most vulnerable. To be able to be a part of that time in their life is pretty incredible and a privilege I don’t take for granted.

What’s your role on the medication team at Sonder?

I work closely with our medication providers and assist them in identifying and minimizing barriers to care.

I provide patient education and community resources, and serve as an advocate for patients.

As providers, it’s essential that we maintain our own emotional wellness practices. What does self-care look like for you these days?

When I’m not working, I’m usually spending time with my family.

I love to refinish wood furniture and do all kinds of other crafty things. I also really enjoy listening to good thriller/suspense audiobooks and podcasts.

Thanks, Rachel! We’re grateful to have you on the team.
