4 Mindset Shifts to Make ASAP

4 Mindset Shifts to Make ASAP

Mind is a flexible mirror. Adjust it to see a better world.

Amit Ray

So many aspects of our lives seem to be shifting by the day.

With so much change, it’s a challenge to remain grounded.

And yet, certain changes carry the potential to both enhance our daily lives and ground them.

Intrigued?

Today we’re sharing 4 important mindset shifts you can make to improve your emotional wellness:

1. Focus on growth, not achievement.

If you have to work hard at something, what does that say about you? Your answer to this question holds the key to understanding whether you favor the growth mindset or the fixed mindset. It’s worth taking the time to reflect, as research suggests your mindset has implications for the things you try, the mistakes you make, the ways you relate, and the legacy you leave.

2. Aim for gratitude even amid challenge.

Whether you’re navigating a period of loss or lack, or you’re simply in a rut, connecting to a sense of gratitude is one of the most powerful tools you have at your disposal. It’s not about denying the hard parts of life; it’s about choosing to recognize the good that’s right in front of you.

3. Embrace imperfection.

If you struggle with perfectionism, it might feel more like a way of life than something you can change. And yet there are so many everyday opportunities to practice embracing the perfectly imperfect parts of ourselves.

4. Practice compassionate living.

These are uniquely stressful times. If you find yourself struggling with worry, fear, and feelings of disconnectedness from the people around you, it might be a signal you could benefit from learning more about something called compassionate living. No matter what you’re going through, compassionate living can help you experience greater ease with your situation, just as it is.
