I acknowledge the messiness, the humanness, of life inherent to us all; we can't do it all on our own. I collaborate with clients to find tools to navigate through this, and create a more centering and stabilizing way of life, despite the dizziness, disorientation, and disconnect. My approach in therapy recognizes these challenges central to living; I help each client towards a life of meaning, fulfillment, and happiness. My therapeutic style provides a sense of freshness, nonjudgement, and an authentic presence to each session.
As a therapist I take into account the complexity of human beings - always interacting with our environment, with others, and with ourselves. I see each client as whole, and our mental health as a very significant and intricate piece to our overall health and well-being. I use a client-centered, collaborative approach utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Strategies, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical-Based Therapy (DBT).
