Is Therapy for ME?
There continues to be an unjustified stigma surrounding therapy and mental health. Many people believe therapy is for “crazy” people or for people in the midst of crisis. This could not be further from the truth. In fact, contrary to popular misconception, the benefits of therapy extend far beyond debilitating mental illness and periods of acute crisis. Truthfully speaking, every single person on this planet could benefit from therapy at some point in their life. Why? Because life can be hard; no matter who you are or where you come from.
The benefits of therapy should be viewed similar to exercise and eating right; a stress-relieving, health strategy that helps you become the happiest, most productive, and best version of yourself. Consider your therapist a personal trainer for your mind and emotions.
